Switching from Android to Windows phone 7 was a crucial decision for me. Though I was making my mind to buy Samsung galaxy SII , but my mind says “YAK” when it comes to samsung. I researched about the technology for atleast a month. The main thing i needed was Gtalk on my windows phone 7 which i found using some third party applications, which was of for me. Finally after a long thought i got HTC Mozart. Now i am using this phone since last 2 weeks and following are the things i liked about Windows Phone 7 on Android.
Features
There is not much difference in the features as far and Android and Windows Phone 7 is concerned. End of the day both the companies, from their side work to earn profits. It is true that in the last decade Android earned highest profits but what I felt after using an android phone is, all androids are the same . Though it has world’s largest app store 90% of them are useless. On the contrary, Windows phone 7 has some unique features which I haven’t seen in any other Cellphones.
Looks
As far as looks are concerned, here Ill rate HTC and not any operating system. HTC has made android look better than all other phones and truly Windows phone 7 with HTC looks as if i am playing an e-magzine full of images, animations and etc. Truly Window OS for mobile phones is the best OS i have ever seen.
Touch
I have always been using some of the top gadgets as soon as they are in the Market. I used Android phone known for its features and Touch, but frankly speaking when i touched the Windows phone 7 screen it was an exclusively different and best experience of my lifetime. Technically speaking its has dual layered amoled display with worlds highest resolution which any other mobile cannot have. But as soon as you touch a windows phone 7 you just forget everything and tend to enter in dreams.
Market Place
Android phone has worlds largest market place. Having applications with more than 300k numbered quantity. But no quality at all. Very few applications amongst all of them are useful. As far as Windows phone 7 is concerned the market place merely has 25k applications which are all very useful and easily available with WP7 user. Other than that the best part is that all the applications are monitored by Microsoft, so there are no chances of Virus and other Spywares.
