Google has now officially launched the so called GOOGLE TV. Now there is no need of buying an individual TV consisting of set top box, a dvd player, antenna and other such things.We had already announced that Google TV will be showcased in this year’s I/O Conference. Google has partnered with Sony, Logitech and Intel to bring its product to the market.Google wants to dominate internet completely, and for this the company is invading internet in every possible way, whether it be your computer, mobile phone, notebook and now, your TV! According to google “The Google TV platform will bring developers into the living room. Web developers can start taking advantage of the big TV screen as soon as products hit shelves this fall. In the future, the Google TV platform will allow developers to navigate TV content. Android developers will not only have access to most of the Android APIs currently available but also to Google TV-specific API extensions that tap into the power of TV. We will have more details later this year.”
Google TV takes your existing television experience and adds the internet to it. In short, you will be able to watch TV just like you do today, but you’ll also be able to watch web video, surf the web, read websites — whatever you do on the web on your big screen television. No longer will you have to crowd around the laptop to watch web video. No longer will you have to use half-way solutions like browsing through a Playstation, Wii, or Xbox.
