Now Adobe Systems Inc. is working on a very effective project, they are putting their efforts to move beyond personal computers, they have introduced a version of its Flash video-viewing program for television sets,set-top boxes and Blu-ray disc players.The software,which is called the Flash Platform for the Digital Home,is available now to chipmakers,which will embed the programme into their products.
This feature will come in televisions probably in the end of this current year,said Anup Murarka,director of technology strategy and partner development.Adobe already came up with many effective technologies for example – online video and animation software.About 80 percent of internet chips are viewed with Flash,according to the statement of company.Adobe makes money by selling the programmes which are used to create videos and animation,and expanding into new devices which may help company to boost their revenue.The most important feature of Flash inside internet-connected televisions is that the consumer will be able to watch video downloaded from the web without the need for a browser.This software is providing a big opportunity for cable companies and studios as they can also expand their revenue.With the help of this technology they can create services,interactive games and new feeds,as well as to show online advertisements.The supporters of this technology are Chipmakers Intel Corp.,Sigma Designs Inc. and Broadcom Corporation. Media Companies who are planning to use this software are Comcast Corp.,New York Times Co.,Netflix Inc. and Walt Disney Co.’s Disney Interactive Media Group.Probably the Flash applications and services for television to become available early next year.Flash, which is absolutely free to download,is already installed on about 98 percent of the world’s personal computers.
